Q:    How do I place a classified ad?

A:   Here is an overview of the process of placing a classified ad:

  • First, select “All Classifieds” at the top of the page.
    (or visit “https://www.themotormasters.com/all-classifieds-categories/“)
  • Next, select the type of classified ad you would like (car for sale, parts for sale, etc) from the list provided.
  • You should then be provided with package options for your classified ad. To select the pricing package you would like, click “Add To Cart” for the plan you choose.
  • Next select “Proceed To Checkout”.
  • Fill out all billing information, then select “Continue To Payment”. After you have paid, you may now fill out the details of your listing.
  • The next page should provide you with a form for entering ad information. Fill it out, making sure to specify required fields, then hit “Save & Continue”.
  • If you had selected a package option that includes photos or video, the next page will prompt you to upload them. Follow the on-screen instructions to attach photos/video with your ad, or hit “Skip Images” if you don’t want to include them.
  • The next page should provide you with a form for entering text for your ad that will appear in print. Fill it out, making sure to specify required fields, then hit “Save & Continue”.
  • The next page will give you a preview of all the information you’ve entered for your ads, display your ad charges, and give you the opportunity to make any changes. If you would like to edit your ad, delete it, or place a new one, use the appropriate links at the top of the page.
Q:    How do I place a classified parts ad?

A:   Here is an overview of the process of placing a classified ad:

  • First, select “All Classifieds”  at the top of the page. (or visit “https://www.themotormasters.com/classic-parts-sell-pricing-plans/“)
  • Next, select “Parts”.
  • Click “Add To Cart” for the plan you choose.
  • The next page should direct you to sign in or register your email address or user name. Enter password or register as a new user with login and password.
  • The next page will have your account information and proceed to checkout.
  • Fill out all billing information, then select “Continue To Payment”. After you have paid, you may now fill out the details of your listing.
  • The next page should provide you with a form for entering your personal contact information as well as all pertinent information regarding your part listing. Fill it out, making sure to specify required fields, then hit “Continue”.
  • The next page will give you a preview of all the information you’ve entered for your ads, display your ad charges, and give you the opportunity to make any changes. If you would like to edit your ad, delete it, or place a new one, click the “Edit” button beneath.

Q:   Why can’t I view all of the description of the search criteria I selected?

A:    There is a gold tab at the far right of your screen, as well as an Advance Search link to click above.

Q:   Why can’t I get beyond the search index page?

A:   In order for the search to work, cookies must be accepted by your web browser. If you have set your browser to reject cookies, change that selection and try again!

Q:   How do I set cookies?

A: You must make sure that your browser is enabled to receive cookies. The location to this setting varies from browser to browser but can be accessed from the Options or Preferences menu command.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
To turn on cookies in Microsoft Internet Explorer:
1. Choose the Tools > Internet Options menu.
2. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the “Privacy” tab.
3. Set your security level to “Medium” or select the “Advanced” button, and make sure “Accept” is selected uner “First-party Cookies”.
4. Click OK to the Internet Options dialog.

FireFox
Note: Cookies are enabled by default in Firefox.
To turn on cookies in FireFox 13:
1. Choose the Tools > Options menu.
2. Select the Privacy tab.
3. Under History, if “Remember History” is selected, cookies are already enabled, and you can proceed to step 6. Otherwise, continue to step 4
4. Select “Use custom settings for history”
5. Check “Accept cookies from sites”
6. Click OK.

1. Click the “Customize and control” drop-down or go to: chrome://chrome/settings/
2. Scroll to the bottom, and click “Show advanced settings”
3. Under “Privacy” click “Content settings”

Q:   How do I enable Active Scripting?

Microsoft Internet Explorer
To enable active scripting in Microsoft Internet Explorer:
1. Choose the Tools > Internet Options menu.
2. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Secutity tab.
3. Click the button marked “Custom Level”
4. In the Security Settings window, scroll down to the “Scripting” section, and check the “Enable” option.
5. Click OK.

  • We’ll ask for name, your zip code, and your email address
  • Hemmings.com will not share your email address or send you emails unless you specifically request that we do so.

  • You’ll set up a password
  • You’ll set up a user name — it’s the name that is attached to any of the photos and stories you post on My Motor Masters and will be the name displayed on your Owner Profile.

  3. All submissions will be reviewed and posted to the website as quickly as possible. Inappropriate photos or language will be deleted. The Motor Masters reserves the right to remove any or all postings deemed inappropriate for the site or that violate the Terms of Use.

Q: What is a Ride?

A: Your ride is the car you’ve restored, or the one you take to cruise ins, or the one you just found. It’s the car you’d like to tell the rest of the The Motor Masters community about. You can tell us about your ride using words and photographs.

A: A story is your chance to share an experience with The Motor Masters community. It could be about car shows or cruise ins you’ve attended, your favorite drives. It could be a story about how you set up your garage, or a how-to article, or a tool tip. It could even be a restoration journal, complete with photographs. Share anecdotes about your Lucky Breaks and Big Mistakes — experiences with the collector car hobby. Attach photographs to illustrate your story.

Q: What is an Owner’s Profile?

A: An Owner’s Profile is your collection of stories and photographs. It is accessible from your account page, or by going to the gold “My Motor Masters” button and selecting the drop down “My Owner’s Profile”.

Q: What is my “Public Profile”?

A: Your Public Profile is the version of your Owner’s Profile page that anyone can see. Each Public Profile has a unique page on the website, so you can share your Public Profile with your friends by emailing them a link — you can also set it as the home page in your browser.
